History - At the Aspen Luggage Company, located at the base of the gondola in Aspen, Colorado, we have been designing, producing, and expanding our own line of duffel oriented products since 1978. Established in 1978 as "Aspen Canvas", the name was changed in 1997 to the Aspen Luggage Company, reflecting the upgrade of the primary production material from cotton canvas to the highest quality American Made Ballistic Nylon that we currently use today. In December 2003, the Aspen Luggage Company was sold to Bubba's Bags, Inc., and longtime Aspen locals and customers, Bubba & Tracy Eggleston.
Location and Products -The tradition of the Aspen Luggage Company continues in our retail store, located in the North of Nell Building next to the Gondola, at the base of Aspen Mountain. In addition to our own line of duffel products, the store also features other quality luggage brands and travel accessories including Mulholland Brothers Leather Luggage, Briggs & Riley Travelware, Rimowa Aluminum and Polycarbonate Cases, Eagle Creek Travel Gear, Sportube Ski and Snowboard Cases, and High Sierra Ski and Snowboard Bags.

Outside Magazine wrote in "Gear Review": "Rolling out the Ultimate Duffel... you'll want to have a close look at the Rolling Duffel from Aspen Luggage Company... This is the finest example we've seen among the new cadre of what are called drop-bottom duffels... All the hardware is solidly built, and the bag itself is made of an appealingly coarse and incredibly rugged 1050-denier ballistic nylon, making this case every bit as tough as the chicken teriyaki the airline will serve you at 28,000 feet."
